Just a few minutes drive from the authentic and historic town of Monchique will bring you to this very private Algarve villa rental, one of the finest villas in Portugal. A short leafy lane meanders down to the well hidden property which is nestled at the end of a private cul-de-sac. You cannot miss the impressive entrance gates and huge granite walls which afford privacy and give way to secure parking for 7 cars. There is a separate entrance and parking for the staff who maintain the villa so you will not be disturbed.

The tastefully designed and detached colonial property is set within its own private grounds where guests are encouraged to help themselves to an abundance of flowers and fruit from trees including fig, orange, peach, plum, cherry and lemon. There is also an Olive and Cork Oak forest in which you can walk, or just sit and enjoy the shade and the abundant bird life.

Entrance to the villa is through imposing solid wood entrance doors which lead into a generously proportioned hall with an impressive suspended stone staircase complimented with a skylight and large Florentine tapestries.

The ground floor is a bright and airy open plan layout to maximise the space, free flow of air and also to take advantage of the stunning views from every room. There is a formal dining area with seating for eight complete with a music centre and a Smart TV so you can keep up with your favourite program whilst dining or preparing dinner in the gourmet kitchen. Separated only by a granite breakfast bar the kitchen also has spectacular views to the coast making washing up less of a chore or, of course, you could use the dish washer. There is also a washing machine situated in an adjacent utility room.

The spacious lounge has comfortable couches to relax and enjoy a good book or conversation with friends. There is also a large Smart TV and a DVD player if you want to watch a movie or two. The villa has free internet WiFi so that you can keep in touch with home and the world. There is also a portable "Bose type' Bluetooth speaker.

An essential for any rental villa in the Algarve is air-conditioning and so every room has an individually controlled unit for your comfort during the hot summer months, and heating if required for the cooler winter months. Every room has a Juliet balcony and French doors so that you can keep the doors open if you prefer.

Upstairs there are two spacious master suites, one Super King and one King each with large full en-suite bathroom with bath and separate walk in shower. Both suites have an abundance of wardrobes and drawers and a TV, they also have Juliet balconies and each have a private sun terrace with table and chairs with which to enjoy commanding views of the countryside and coast. There is also a twin bedroom on the ground floor which has an en-suite shower room and ample wardrobes. This room has French windows with a Juliet balcony overlooking the orange terraces and fabulous views across the surrounding countryside and the mountain of Picota.

The peaceful garden, swimming pool and barbecue area can be accessed easily from the hall or lounge. There is a large outside covered terrace in which to escape the sun, furnished with sofa, chairs, dining table and chairs with seating for 8 and a built-in barbecue and wine fridge, perfect for eating out on those wonderful balmy Algarve evenings. What could be more satisfying, sipping a cool glass of wine whilst tossing a few steaks and honing your BBQ skills!

There are many villas for rent with private pools in Portugal but again we are different. A feature of the property is the "Infinity Pool" in which you can take in the views whilst swimming! The pool is also lit at night. The covered barbecue area and sun terrace are all facing the swimming pool and beyond to the hillsides and coast, a wonderful place to relax with a book, watch the local bird life or watch the cruise ships come into Portimao.

What a beautiful villa, with an absolutely breathtaking view - we loved it. The villa itself is large and spacious and the terraces and swimming pool are perfect morning, afternoon and night. There is everything you could want for a wonderful stay in a beautiful location. Nigel was incredibly responsive, helpful and easy to deal with. We cannot recommend the whole experience more highly and eating fresh figs from the tree every day was an added joy!

Er gibt Tipps für Ausflüge und Vergünstigungen für Restaurants vor Ort und bemüht sich, seinen Gästen die Ferien so angenehm wie möglich zu machen.
